Roger Lyle MorganJanuary 11,1948 - June9,2023Roger Lyle Morgan, of Waddell, AZ passed away surrounded by his family on June 9, 2023.Roger was born in Morenci, AZ on January 11, 1948 to parents Lyle and Shirley Mecham Morgan. When he turned 18, he enlisted in the Army and became a helicopter pilot. He flew in the Vietnam war, was discharged with honors, and came home to be with his family. Roger was a commercial and residential contractor the majority of his life, later to own his own company, The Morgan Company, retiring in 2017. He was known as a great contractor in and around the Snowflake area. Roger and his wife Judy joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in September of 1986. Roger served in many callings including Bishop in the Snowflake 6th Ward in Snowflake, AZ. He loved the youth of the church and was always happiest serving with them. He loved being outdoors; camping with his friends and family. Everyone always looked forward to his dutch oven peach cobbler, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. Roger especially loved hunting and fishing with his brother Luther Morgan and nephew Dennis Mattis.Roger is survived by his wife Judy Morgan, daughter Annie (Troy) Townsend, daughter Laura (Devry) Burch, daughter Kathi Denney, son Alan "Dobby" Denney, brother Luther (Nancy) Morgan. Grandchildren Ashley (Cody), Brooklyn (Dallin), Devin (Katie), Madison (Colton), Brecken, Echo (Hayden), Valerie (Joe), Alex, and Crissy and 17 1/2 great grandchildren.Roger was preceded in death by his son James Allen Morgan "Jimmy", brother Lynn Morgan, sister Sharon Holmes Hyde, grandson Benjamin and parents Lyle and Shirley Morgan.

Robert Louis Mittino, 82 of Sun City, Arizona, formerly of Allen Park Michigan, passed away peacefully June 6, 2023, with his loving wife Judy at his side.Bob was born January 29, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Louis and Lina Mittino. Though he grew up in Allen Park, Michigan, Bob’s earliest days were spent in the Oakwood neighborhood of Detroit. He fondly remembered the Italian-American community that surrounded him in his early childhood.In 1959, he graduated from Allen Park High School and went on to Eastern Michigan University, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business. Having participated in ROTC at Eastern, he proudly entered the Army as a Second Lieutenant. During the Vietnam War, he honorably served in Thailand in the Signal Corps. Bob was the first university graduate in his family and went on to build a career at Ford Motor Company in IT systems. He was active in the community, dedicating many years to youth development. He served as a coach in various youth sports leagues and as an adult leader in both the Boy Scouts of America, YMCA Adventure Guides and Princesses, and participated in mentoring through The Guidance Center.Described by close friends as “a great friend who you could count on for anything, especially a good time.” He could make anyone feel like family. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.After family and friends, his loves were golf, bowling, cigars, a good drink, wood carving, Rock and Roll, dancing, good Italian food, travel, and classic cars, especially his red ‘89 Firebird. Bob enjoyed canoeing and fishing on the Au Sable River near their cabin in Tawas, Michigan. He loved his dogs and cats. He was also a Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy enthusiast. He was a loving husband to Judy Mittino and a caring older brother to Raymond Mittino (Judy) and Lois Mittino Gray (James). Bob is survived by his children with Beverlee Lindeen, Matthew (Veronica), Adam (the late Sarah), and Aimee (Marcus), and stepchildren Jennifer Renard (Kent) and Michael Moran (Robyn). He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was known as Nonno (Grandfather) to Nicole, Luca, Rocco, Ellee, AJ, Leanne, Sofia, Anthony, Vincenzo, Sydney, Coby, Hazel, and Gracie.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to https://www.guidance-center.org/champions/ and also https://www.sunshineservices.org in memory of Robert Mittino, or the Boy Scouts of America. Patricia "Pat" (Burchi) Ribich Drexler, (92) passed away peacefully in Sun City, Arizona on June 6, 2023. Pat was born April 2, 1931 to Horatio and Jennie (Guccinni) Burchi in Detroit, Michigan. As a young woman she graduated from Cass Tech High School and attended the Patricia Ford School of Modeling. In 1952 she married Victor Ribich in Detroit were her daughter Kathleen and son Michael were born. In 1971 they moved to Greeley , Colorado. Pat worked as an administrative assistant with Greeley School District Six and the University of Northern Colorado. Together, she and Vic enjoyed their cabin in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, playing golf, traveling and spending time with family. After Vic passed away in 1985, she eventually made the decision to move to Arizona in 2000. Pat enjoyed the weather and no snow! She continued playing golf, joined the Elk's Womens Auxiliary, loved playing cards, taking cruises and living life to the fullest. In 2004 she met and married Jospeh Drexler. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sharing her wisdom and family history. Pat loved her family very much and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Vic and Joe, and brother Ramon Burchi. She is survived by daughter Kathleen Salazar, son Michael (Peggy) Ribich, sister-in-law Jackie Burchi and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Arlene Marie (Lutz) Levin, 91, is now at peace after a bout of pneumonia. Arlene was born May 2, 1932, in Osage County, Kansas to Inez (Heffner) and Oscar Lutz. Her 1950 class of Overbrook Rural High School Gophers met recently for a 70th reunion, remarkable in that the entire class was eighteen students. After Overbrook, Arlene attended Washburn and Kansas Universities obtaining a degree in Education. She first taught in Garnett, KS and then taught home economics in Palm Springs, CA. That huge adventure for a small-town girl set Arlene’s passion for exploration and experiences. After obtaining a Master’s in Library Science from Emporia State, she married Henry Arthur Levin. Arlene was a librarian at Piper middle school and Turner high school. She has two daughters and enjoyed driving them to events and teaching 4-H classes. She was proudest of the young readers she helped find an interesting subject or perfect book that would instill a love of reading. After retiring in 1993, she traveled widely, joined the hiking club and hiked through her eighties, including to the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice. In 1996, Arlene and Henry purchased a second home in Sun City, AZ where they would spend winters. Arlene enjoyed volunteering at several churches, Missouri Rep Theater and the Sun City library. Sun City became their primary home in 2017, but she never lost her passion for the KU Jayhawks. Arlene loved playing bridge and golf and developed many friendships through these activities. Arlene is preceded in death by Henry Arthur in 2018 and survived by Renee Levin of Chandler, AZ, and Denise Levin Signorelli of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Dagny Signorelli of Gunnison, CO and Anthony (Cassandra Thornton) Signorelli of Kingman, AZ. Arlene’s sweet, adventuresome personality will be missed by relatives and friends. Memorial visitation to be held June 17th in Lawrence, KS. Dave Wekamp of Sun City passed away on June 1, 2023, at home surrounded by his wife and family. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by wife Anna (Sweet) Wekamp, daughters, Pamela (Sweet) Barber (Brian Barber), and Michelle (Wekamp) Davis (Warren Davis), 7 grandchildren, William Barber, Joshua Barber, Chelsea Davis, Ashley Davis, Bailey Davis, Katie Ann Barber and Andrew Barber and 4 great-grandchildren, Adelynn Barber, Chandler Barber, Brian Barber and Everett Barber. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.Dave was born in Jefferson City, MO. to Joseph and Naomi Wekamp. He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 and served with “B Company 2nd Battalion, 34th Infantry” from January 1966 to August 1968. He spent most of his time in Europe serving in Germany. When Dave returned, he met the love of his life Anna, and they remained happily married for 54 years. He retired with Anna to Sun City in 2015 from Springfield, MO after 35 years of employment with Ecolab as a pest control specialist. He was known as the “Bug Man” to friends and family. Dave was an avid golfer and could frequently be found on a golf course or driving around town in his golf cart. He was a St. Louis Cardinal’s and NASCAR fan and was an Elks member of Sun City Lodge AZ, # 2559. Joseph F. Provateare97, of Sun City, AZ went peacefully home to the Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Joe was born November 21, 1925 to Joseph and Ellen Provateare in Maple Heights, OH. This is where Joe grew up alongside his brothers: Tom & Carl and sister: Agnes, Ellen & Grace. He graduated from Maple Heights High School. Then promptly left to serve our country. He was drafted in the US Army. Joe served in the infantry and is a decorated war hero who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was always a proud and patriotic American.On July 10, 1948 Joe married Pauline (Campana) and settled in Bedford, OH. Where Joe worked as a Mail Carrier. They had 3 children. The Provateare family moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1966. Joe continued working as a Mail Carrier at the Scottsdale Post Office until he retired in 1981.Joe & Pauline moved to Sun City, AZ in 1993. Joe always loved driving; they enjoyed many years of road trips. Their first Sun City home had a large front porch where Joe enjoyed spending time with a group of neighbor men solving the problems of the world and drinking coffee. But most of all Joe loved spending time with his Bride of almost 75 years, Pauline, and his family. Their home was always open to family & friends. Joe was a wonderful man. Loving and kind, quick to smile and a gentleman to all. Joe is survived by his wife, Pauline, son, Joseph “Pep”(Annie) Provateare, twin daughters, Pamela (Rick) Capps, Paula (Gerald) Sandoval, sister, Grace Furino. Joe & Pauline have six Grandchildren, Joseph (Melissa) Provateare, Linda Provateare, Hope (Jeff) Ragusa, Mariette (Constantine) Broadbent, Samuel (Jessica) Benites, Paige (Andrew) Atwood. And the additional blessing of five Great- Grandchildren, Elise, Cecilia, Francesca, New Hope & Nixon. Along with a number of Nieces & Nephews. All will miss and remember him always. The burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Phoenix at a later date.
